Key topics
Discussions will focus on timely and relevant economic issues related to the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM), including, but not limited to:
- Impact of bank resolution framework on financial stability and Too-big-to-fail (TBTF) problem
- Financial stability during resolution: liquidity, deposit runs, and systemic fragility
- Empirical work on MREL: links with profitability, funding, legal/operational structure, and capital buffers
- Resolution strategies for medium-sized banks, cooperatives, and cross-border institutions
- Growth of non-bank financial intermediaries and the evolving role of financial market infrastructures
- The impact of emerging risks and technological innovation on resolution and deposit insurance
Submissions on other topics relevant to the SRM will also be considered.
Submission procedure
The SRB calls for young Postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates to submit papers for the Resolution Young Researchers Workshop, that will be held on the first day of the conference, where the finalists will present and discuss their research.
Eligibility criteria
Students who are currently enrolled in a PhD programme or Postdoctoral researchers who have not exceeded five years since the completion of their first PhD degree.
Submission procedure

- A cover letter introducing your research and its relevance to the workshop
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV)
- The deadline for submission is on 15 October 2025
- Authors of papers accepted by Scientific Committee will be notified by 15 January 2026 and will present their papers during the Resolution Young Researchers Workshop at the Economic Conference
