Daniel Pérez Cid is Director General - Directorate General Financial Stability, Regulation and Resolution. He is member of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and represents Banco de España in other international committees within the FSB. At European level, he represents Banco de España in the Board of Supervisors of the EBA and co-chairs the Standing Committee on Regulation and Policy (SCRePol). Daniel also represents Banco de España at Plenary of the Single Resolution Board.
Prior to his current position, he was Head of the Regulation Department of Banco de España. Previously, Daniel was executive coordinator of Global Regulatory Policy, in the Department of Financial Stability and prior to that he was head of the macroprudential analysis division in the same Department.
He holds a Master in Economics and Finance (CEMFI, Madrid) and a degree in Economics (Carlos III University, Madrid)
