Julien Pénasse is Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Luxembourg. His research studies the interaction between macroeconomics and finance over the long run, with a focus on asset price dynamics during crises. He develops methods that combine historical international data to handle missing observations and characterize slow-moving dynamics in international macro-finance. His work has been published in leading journals, including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science. He also benefits from more than ten years of experience in trading, asset allocation, and scientific consulting. Julien holds a joint Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from ESSEC Business School and Tilburg University.
