The Single Resolution Board published today its Annual Report for 2025. This is the second reporting on the implementation of the SRM Vision 2028 strategy highlighting the progress made by the SRB to make the European banking sector more resolvable and resilient.
In 2025, the SRB established together with National Resolution Authorities a comprehensive testing framework for bank resolvability and launched for the first time on-site inspections. The SRB also introduced a new Risk Appetite Framework and simplified its Resolution Planning Cycle, making resolution plans more efficient and practical.
Cooperation throughout the year with National Resolution Authorities, the European Central Bank, as well as with international bodies, such as the Financial Stability Board, was also a priority for the SRB to fulfil its mandate.
“In 2025, the Single Resolution Mechanism marked its 10th anniversary. This was a good opportunity, not only to reflect on the progress made towards building a credible and effective framework for bank resolution, but also to look forward to strengthening our capacity to deal with the challenges that lie ahead,” said SRB Chair Dominique Laboureix.
