David was appointed as EMEA CEO in February 2019.
In this role, David is responsible for Citi’s businesses throughout EMEA, where Citi maintains a physical presence in 55 countries and operates in more than 100 within the region.
Prior to assuming his current position, David was Citi Country Officer for Australia and New Zealand from June 2016. David joined Citi from Credit Suisse, where he held a variety of senior roles in the Investment Banking and Capital Markets Division in EMEA and as CEO in Australia. Previously, he has also worked at Goldman Sachs and HSBC. His extensive experience covers corporate and investment banking, private banking, consumer banking, and general management.
David holds a B.A. Honours degree in Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney and an M.A. in Law from Jesus College, Cambridge. He is married with four children
