Technical meeting on the Operational guidance for banks on liquidity and funding in resolution

Past banking crises, outcomes of SRB resolvability assessments and recent policy developments have shown the need for targeted enhancement of the three SRB operational guidances on liquidity and funding in resolution.

To ensure crisis readiness, the SRB is updating, and merging into a single document, its operational guidance on liquidity and funding in resolution. The proposed Operational Guidance does not introduce any new deliverables. Instead, it aims at clarifying or enhancing certain existing resolvability expectations to ensure banks’ operational readiness in a proportionate way.

Please be aware that the SRB will prioritise questions that have been submitted in advance of the meeting to SRB-LIQUIDITY-PUBLIC-CONSULTATION [a] srb.europa (SRB-LIQUIDITY-PUBLIC-CONSULTATION[at]srb[dot]europa[dot]eu) by 5 June 2026, at the latest.

Participants are expected familiarise themselves with the documents under consultation before the meeting. This meeting does not replace written responses to the consultation.
