
Eric Pulinx is Chief Executive Officer of The Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV, BNY Mellon’s European banking entity, a role he assumed in January 2025. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer for BNY International, overseeing finance across the firm’s international operations, which represent approximately 40% of BNY Mellon’s total revenues.
Eric joined BNY in August 2013 as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of the Board. Over the past decade, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening BNY´s financial and governance frameworks across Europe and the broader international platform.
Prior to joining BNY, Eric served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer at bpost bank (a member of the BNP Paribas Group), where he was also a member of the Executive Committee. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 11 years with KPMG as a Senior Manager and certified statutory auditor, advising and auditing several leading European banks.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, Eric has served since 2017 as an independent board member of Delen Bank, a prominent European wealth management institution.
Eric holds a degree in Applied Economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain, a Master’s in Audit and Accountancy, and is a graduate of the Institut de Finance et de Cambisme Internationale. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Based in Brussels, Eric is married and the father of three children. Outside of work, he is an avid amateur kickboxer. Eric is a native French speaker and he also speaks Dutch and English.
