Cristiano Cozer has served as the General Counsel of the Central Bank of Brazil since 2016. He began his career at the Central Bank in 1998 as an attorney. Mr Cozer holds a law degree from Rio de Janeiro State University, a master’s degree in law from the University of Brasília, and a master’s degree in economics from IDP/Brasília. He is currently pursuing a PhD in law at the University of São Paulo. His academic interests include the study of money, monetary policy, and financial regulation. Since 2014, Mr Cozer has been a member of the Committee on International Monetary Law of the International Law Association (Mocomila).
