Christian Hofmann is an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, where he also serves as Deputy Director of the Centre for Banking & Finance Law and Civil Law Cluster Coordinator at the Centre for Asian Legal Studies. Before joining NUS, he was a Professor in Liechtenstein and Senior Legal Counsel at the German Central Bank. He has held visiting positions at institutions including Oxford, NYU, UC Berkeley, and the Forum Basiliense at the University of Basel, and has undertaken consultancy work for the European Parliament and the IMF. His research focuses on banking law, financial regulation, the law of money, and central banking.
