About the SRB
The SRB is the central resolution authority within the Banking Union. Its mission is to ensure an orderly resolution of failing banks with minimum impact on the real economy and on public finances of the participating Member States and beyond. Therefore, the SRB is granted with specific tasks and responsibilities to prepare for, and carry out, the resolution of banks that are failing or likely to fail.

Who can Apply?
The Blue Book Traineeship programme is open to university graduates who:
- Have completed a minimum 3-year higher education degree (EQF 6 level)
- Have no prior work experience of any kind, in excess of 6 weeks, in any EU institution, body, or agency
- Have a very good knowledge of two EU official languages, one of which must be a working language: English, French, or German at C1 or C2 level, and a second one at B2 level at least. For non-EU nationals, only one procedural language is required at C1 or C2 leve
How to Apply?
- Submit your application via the European Commission Traineeship Programme platform.
- Wait for the evaluation phase results (this may take a few weeks). Check your account regularly for updates
- If you're pre-selected, you will be invited to apply for up to three traineeship positions. At this phase, you can search for and apply to the SRB traineeship positions.
- Recruiting units will review your application, and you may be contacted for an informal interview.
- If you are selected you will receive one placement offer in your candidate account.
- If you decline the offer, your application will be automatically withdrawn from the Virtual Blue Book, and you will not be given another chance for the same traineeship session.

The basic monthly salaries (in EUR) for Temporary Agents for each grade and step in function group AD, AST and AST/SC are referred to in Article 66 of the European Commission Staff Regulations, applicable from 01 July 2017.
