Vittorio Di Bucci is a Principal Legal Adviser/Director in the Legal Service of the European Commission. He has been the head of the Business Law team since 2014. He leads a group of more than 20 lawyers in charge of establishment, services, capital, financial markets, digital markets, transport, intellectual property, company law, satellite navigation.

Mr. Di Bucci joined the European institutions in 1987 and worked as a Lawyer-Linguist until 1988, then as Legal Secretary to Judge Mancini at the European Court of Justice from 1988 to 1991 and from 1994 to 1999, and as a member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, Transport and Environment team, State Aid and Antidumping team and Competition team from 1991 to 1994 and from 2000 to 2010. He was the head of the State Aid and Antidumping team between 2010 and 2015.

Mr Di Bucci has represented the European Commission in more than 500 cases before the European Courts, including several seminal institutional and economic law cases. He has published on different topics of European Law. He is fluent in Italian, English, French and German.

Mr. Di Bucci holds a law degree from the University of Turin and postgraduate diplomas in European studies from the Centre européen universitaire of Nancy and in European law from the University of Nancy.
