The SRB today holds its third Legal Conference at its headquarters in Brussels. As in previous years, it brings together renowned practitioners, academics and policy-makers to discuss legal topics around the European Banking Union and the Single Resolution Mechanism.
Speaking in Brussels, SRB Chair Dominique Laboureix says “We rely very much on a solid legal framework in order to ensure stability in the banking sector. It is very useful to discuss, debate and tease out any potential issues or obstacles, as well as getting an insight into possible solutions.”
The conference is organised around three panels with the following topics:
Panel 1: Resolution transfer tools: legal challenges and impact of digitalisation
Panel 2: Judicial Protection and International Investment Arbitration in the Context of Bank Resolution
Panel 3: A global approach to bank insolvency
Andrew Metrick, who is the Janet L. Yellen Professor of Finance and Management at the Yale School of Management, also delivers a keynote speech.
Please see the conference website for more information.
