In 2025, the assessment of banks’ resolvability across the Banking Union shows progress across all resolvability dimensions, but further work remains in certain areas. The SRB is transitioning towards a testing-focused approach to assess banks’ operational readiness and crisis preparedness.
Looking ahead, the SRB will focus on the capacity to operationalise resolvability capabilities. Priorities for 2026 include the continued implementation of the multi-annual testing programmes and the effective implementation of targeted operational guidance.
